Designer position is responsible for developing/producing accurate and timely metro area network designs and facility designs for transport, trunking and backhaul of wireless networks.
Task/Responsibilities: • Performs multi-vendor designs, reviews and integrations • Assigns ports and allocates CFA to work orders per the project plan. • Creates graphical design in Map Info. Updates design and other databases (e.g., Granite) • Designs all transport in a cost effective way that meet design guidelines such as diversity including OC-n and DS3 • Produces workable design documents for circuit provisioning Knowledge Skills & Attributes: • This position requires knowledge of business, principles, telecommunications, telephony accounting, finance, negotiation skills and a focus on internal and external customer service. • Must have strong analytical, interpersonal, communication skills (written and verbal) and troubleshooting skills. Strong time management skills and proven ability to interact with all levels of the organization. • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Map Info • Must have a working knowledge of traffic engineering standards, the design and implementation SONET and terminating network elements • Good project planning and organization skills Education/Experience: A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in telecommunications To apply for this position, please visit the employment section of our website at www.healy-co.com, keyword search on requisition #0000 and apply online.
